Conference Venue
MARINE 2025 will be hosted at the University of Edinburgh. Technical sessions will take place in Appleton Tower, the centrepiece of the University’s George Square Complex. It features five state-of-the-art lecture theatres, each seating between 200 and 300 delegates.
We will be using Lecture Theatres 1, 2, 3, and 4. Plenary lectures will be held in Lecture Theatre 4.
Appleton Tower, located at 11 Crichton Street, Edinburgh, EH8 9LE has two main access points, Chapel Street Entrance (main entrance) and Crichton Street Entrance.
Chapel Street Entrance
This is the primary pedestrian entrance. It features a set of glass double doors on the left and a revolving door on the right. The double doors can be accessed via a touchpad situated on the right side.
This entrance leads to the Lower Ground Floor lobby. From there, visitors can proceed to the Ground Floor via a short walkway and a set of double doors that lead to the lifts.
Crichton Street Entrance
This entrance is located at the rear of the building and is accessible via Crichton Street.
